Very rarely do you enter a takeaway early in the morning and receive a smile along with Friendly and energetic service but Thats exactly what Duncan provides every time we come through. My Friend and I had the fish and chips meal the fish was flakey and crispy and the chips we steaming hot… definitely recommend this place for Fresh amazing breakfasts or even a full on midday meal. Value for money and you get treated like royalty

The food is consistently good, and I’ve ordered from here several times before. However, the service and waiting times are extremely disappointing. On this occasion, I placed a call-in order for a full chicken tikka at 2:50 PM and was told it would take 45 minutes to prepare. I drove all the way from Isipingo to collect the order. When I arrived, I went in, paid, and left as the food was not ready yet. I returned at 4:15 PM, only to be told that the order was still not ready and that I would need to wait an additional 20–25 minutes. This is completely unacceptable. This was my first time visiting Saltan Foods in Chatsworth. The place is really clean, welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. I got a double-patty burger for R95, which is quite pricey, and it just didn’t match up. The patties were cheap, processed, and honestly, something I could have made at home. The fish and chips weren’t great either—the chips weren’t fried properly, and I even found a piece of plastic inside the patty. So, while the vibe and service were good, the food just wasn’t worth the price, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
