I would rate it lower but 1 star the lowest. The old cake inn was brilliant, service and quality. This new renovated shop, never has anything fresh. This review is after many purchases, as I always assumed I might have been overreacting. Yesterday I bought a tub of snowballs for R50, it was hard, dry and horrible to say the least. Mind you their cakes aren't cheap, I get better quality at better prices if I go to spar. For a bakery that specializes in baked goods, one would think it's fresh and tasty. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Pathetic and horrible cakes.

My family and I supported this cake shop for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I recently purchased a cake, and when I opened it, it had a strong chemical smell and taste—completely inedible. I called the store and was told to bring it back, which I did. Unfortunately, the situation was handled very poorly. There was no apology, no sense of urgency, and the person I spoke to simply said he didn’t know what to do. I also witnessed him having very little respect for one of the ladies that worked there. That level of customer service and lack of respect is unacceptable. It’s frustrating …
Purchased donuts only to notice the cream was yellow and sour ,called the store with no acknowledgement from very rude owner that's also very rude to his employees infront off customers.
